We started Dock Rats because kayak culture deserves its own voice in clothing. Technical Base Layer Short Sleeve takes that idea into the training wardrobe. A fitted short-sleeve layer with an identity rooted in the same culture as our streetwear. To us, training and life around the club belong together. You should recognise yourself in both, including on days when the programme keeps you on land.
Technical Base Layer Short Sleeve is a short-sleeved training top made from 88% recycled polyester and 12% elastane at 230 g/m². Its close fit suits training and kayaking when you want shorter sleeves and a layer that follows the body.
Polyester and elastane create a stretchy technical fabric. Wear the top on its own for training or as an inner layer under a vest. Short sleeves provide different coverage from the long-sleeved model, but the top remains a fitted base layer rather than a loose T-shirt.

Short sleeves, close silhouette
Short Sleeve suits a preference for a close cut without long sleeves. It fits closer than Heavy Lifting, especially around the body and shoulders. Compare it with a top in a similar stretch material so you choose the fit you actually want.
Recycled polyester is the main component, with elastane supplying the elastic part of the blend. The exact proportions are listed above; this model has its own composition compared with the long-sleeve base layer.
Is this the same type of shirt as Heavy Lifting?
No. Short Sleeve is a close-fitting base layer with elastane at 230 g/m². Heavy Lifting is a looser mesh T-shirt in 100% polyester at 140 g/m². They offer different fits.
